Services:
CGL provides various services, including 1:1/Psycho-social interventions, harm reduction advice, Injecting Equipment Provision (IEP), take-home naloxone, and more.
Primary Care Workers operate across GP practices offering a single contact point for drug and alcohol interventions, 1:1 keyworking, psychological interventions, and support for all stages of OST and detox.
CGL offers a community rehabilitation group work program and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Harm Reduction is provided in all 3 CGL bases, including advice on safer injecting/use, naloxone distribution/training, motivational interviewing, and advice to community pharmacy IEP contacts.
IEP times are 12-2pm daily.
Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS)
The Substance Misuse Service is an area wide service based between Stirling and Falkirk Community Hospitals. There are outpatient clinics held in numerous venues throughout Forth Valley.
The service comprises of treatment services for people experiencing drugs and/or alcohol problems. The service adopts a multi-disciplinary approach with medical, nursing, psychological and allied professional input.
Promotes & encourages General Practitioner (GP) involvement in the support and treatment of opiate dependency and provide support for this within Primary Care and provide support and training to GPs and Community Pharmacists. To provide movement towards a reduction of use.
